The charm of Dubai is felt all over the world. And as an avid traveller, Dubai was inevitably on my list of places to visit. In the spring of this year, I decided to explore the nation alone. A friend of mine recommended Thrillophilia to me after being on a trip with them earlier in the year. I did some research browsing the Internet and found only positive Thrillophilia reviews on Tripadvisor about the trip. I decided to book this Six-Day Dubai and Abu Dhabi Trip. The tour began immediately after I arrived at the Dubai International Airport- I was promptly taken to my designated driver, who took me to my hotel. I met the other group members at the briefing in the hotel, and we six all bonded very quickly.
After a morning spent in our hotel, we went to the sea for an evening Dhow Cruise in the evening. If you’re not familiar with Dhow is a classic Middle Eastern boat that was originally used for trading. Nowadays, it is used for tourism. Dhow Cruise is one of the most exciting things you can do in Dubai. We cruised along the water of the Marina, with we watched the Dubai Skyline lit up all around us. The cruise was accompanied by a traditional and delicious meal in addition. In the morning, with no time, the group chose to wander the souks downtown independently.
Traditional jewellery and other handicrafts are the most popular items on the market. We were able to shop for souvenirs and have a taste of street food that is sold in the souks. After dinner, we set off for an excursion in the desert. It was an entirely unusual experience for me. We were loaded into 4×4 vehicles to go Dune Bashing, a thrilling desert activity that proved to be extremely enjoyable! After the dunes bashing adventure was over, we were transferred to an authentic Bedouin tent and could take a camelback ride. There was a huge amount of shisha available at the Tent, and we were able to consume it.
The Tent had a Henna booth in the Tent, as those wanting to paint their hands could get them done. However, the night didn’t end there. The tour was followed by a tasty barbecue, followed by the traditional Tanura dance show. It was a great day, but the excitement faded away during the hectic Abu Dhabi tour that formed the second part of our schedule. On the next day, we headed to the city for a time. Our first stop was at the Grand Sheikh Mosque, whose shining white domes are an unbreakable part of Abu Dhabi’s historical timeline.
After visiting the mosque, we took an hour exploring The Abu Dhabi Corniche. Offering breathtaking perspectives of and the Arabian Gulf, this busy pedestrian walkway is filled with tourists all day. Although it is a business, the numerous small shops along with eateries, parks and playgrounds along the length make walking along the Corniche worth the effort. The final stop at the end of the tour included The Heritage Village. It was designed to look like an authentic Middle Eastern village; the Heritage Village offers an authentic experience of Bedouin Living.
We took a walk through the villages’ streets and stopped at times to snap some photos or two. The following day, we explored the most distinctive Dubai tourist attractions. The first stop we made at Dubai was the magnificent Miracle Gardens, home to amazing flower gardens, which I spent quite a while taking pictures of. We then went to the Butterfly Museum and Garden, which is another amazing sight to see. Then, we visited Dubai Global Village. Dubai Global Village, which for me was the most memorable part of our trip.
Global Village Global Village can only be visited between October until March. We were fortunate enough to arrive on time to visit. An extravaganza of culture with dining, shopping, and various rides at the funfair was part of our visit to The Global Village. We spent a lot of time in the amusement park located in the Global Village and visited the most zones we could. Our final day of the tour was spent on the Dubai City Tour. We set off in our rented car and went to some of the most popular attractions in Dubai.
Its Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai Museum and Palm Islands are only some of the destinations covered in the tour. These Palm Islands were especially interesting for me, and we frequently stopped at local food trucks to try their delicacies. At night, we saw the famous Dubai fountain show, which according to the Thrillophilia reviews on Twitter, had indicated it was truly spectacular. Some group members decided to enjoy the show on the boat, which was also an option.
Apart from the well-planned sightseeing tours, what impressed me about the trip was how extensive it was. I didn’t have to concern myself with anything, not even the accommodation planning, travelling through the city, or the schedules. The trip was a perfect six days that met all my expectations, and I’m happy I picked the Thrillophilia tour to take Dubai off my bucket list!
