2-Year-Old Girl Beaten To Death In An Illegal Day Care in Missouri
An illegal Day Care in Missouri run by the wife of a 40-year-old US Army staff sergeant became the crime scene of a death of a 2-year-old girl according to the report of Law & Crime.
The daycare was located at the house of the couple in a Missouri military installation.
The Suspect And The Cause of Death
The child who was discovered dead at the daycare was allegedly beaten to death by Kevin Long, a 40-year-old staff sergeant in the U.S army.
Based on a copy of the probable cause indictment on November 6, 2019, Long had beaten to death the young girl, ““did unlawfully kill Jane Doe by physically assaulting Jane Doe in a manner of blunt force injuries, in the perpetration of child abuse, or a part of a pattern and practice of assault against a child.”
The young girl being beaten to death incident specifically took place at an illegal daycare center at Fort Leonard Wood, in Missouri’s Pulaski County.
Last week, a federal grand jury returned the bill indicting the suspect of the young girl beaten to death on one count of first-degree murder and another count for false representation about a matter within the agency’s jurisdiction in relation to a child’s death.
In press release, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said that on the day the young girl was killed, she had been left under the care of Long and his wife, the owner of the illegally run daycare out of their on-base home.
It is not clear yet if the army’s wife is facing any charges for running the daycare.
