The Police Department of Virginia arrested a 39-year-old woman after the sudden death of a 1-year-old child.

Sudden death

January 2020, Police responded to a 911 emergency call from Brookside Apartments that a 1-year-old child found nit breathing. Investigations were made but no potential suspects as of the moment. This case took 3 years after a suspect was made and arrested.

The investigations went after the Police Department of Lynchburg responded to a report from Brookside Apartments that a child was found not breathing. According to the reports of the investigation, none was specified as a potential suspect as of the moment. The child was ought to save by medics and provided basic lifesaving ethics, however, the child was pronounced dead. This happened on January 23, 2020. Investigators assumed that the death of the child is due to the reckless disregard for human life.

Update

On June 7, 2023 (3 years after) a 39-year-old woman, Brandy Lynn Parker, was arrested by the Police on press charges of Neglect, Felony Murder, and Felony Child Abuse. The investigation did not mention the relationship of the suspect to the victim. Brandy Parker was put to held in Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
