Hawaii Governor Josh Green officially announced a program that will benefit selected Americans in the state. This program will give a huge amount of up to $100,000 to selected Americans under the Hawaii Healthcare Education Loan Repayment Program that will run for two years.
In a published article in The U.S. Sun, those who qualify for the program will receive an amount of $50,0o0 per year or a total of $100,000 for two years. This program is the replacement for the Hawaii State Loan Repayment Program.
Hawaii Governor Released a Statement
According to a published article in AHEC, Hawaii Governor Josh Green said, “One of the key lessons we’ve learned over the years is we simply don’t have enough health care providers in the places we need the most. So, our team has been thinking about this for quite some time.”
He also confirmed that $10 million will be spent in the first year and the remaining $20 million will go out in the second year. Furthermore, the HELP program is funded by $30 million from the state legislature and an additional $5 million donation.

How Much Each Resident Will Receive?
According to a published article on the official website of the State of Alaska: Department of Revenue, eligible residents will receive a one-time direct payment of an amount of $1,312. The application started on January 1, 2024 at around 9:00 a.m., and here are some information that you should know:
- Eligible dividend applications that are in “Eligible-Not Paid” status on January 10 will be distributed on January 18.
- Applications in the “Eligible-Not Paid” status on February 7 will be distributed on February 15.
- Applications in the “Eligible-Not Paid” status on March 13 will be distributed on March 21.
Furthermore, the amount is calculated by dividing the amount available for distribution from the Permanent Fund earnings account by the number of eligible applicants.
