On Thursday, two people were indicted for the murder of a man after driving his truck and luring him into the woods.

The investigations were pointed to two people, a 32-year-old man, Andrew David Smith, and a 34-year-old woman, Melissa Dymond-Demetrowitz driving a man’s car — Shawn Patrick Armstrong, 49, luring him into the woods and killing him.
Prosecutors reported that the two were locked up in the local jail since September on less serious charges.
In Law and Crime, the duo conspired to do the crime on September 8 and 13 according to the judicial district. The investigation has reportedly said that the victim was shot to death on September 13, 2022. The body was found inside his vehicle. The allegations against the two stated that the suspects hid the remains of the victim in a wooded area near Lee County underneath the palm fronds.
At the time of the release of the affidavit, Dymond-Demetrowitz was then charged with tampering with evidence of a capital felony. She said that she saw someone shoot the victim to death. When investigations were made, it was directed to someone identified as Armstrong.
Dymond-Demetrowitz allegedly said to the authorities that the three of them were driving the car heading somewhere but they stopped near a gravel road where the victim and the other suspect argued about something for almost three hours.
According to the affidavit, Dymond-Demetrowitz heard gunshots from outside and stepped out to see what happened — she saw the victim lying on the ground with two gunshot wounds in his chest, and she also stated that she helped Armstrong put the body inside the vehicle out of fear.
