It’s not too late to file a tax rebate.

This coming June 16, 2023, Mexicans will soon receive tax rebate checks. The rebates were approved to all new Mexicans who filed a state tax return last 2021.
Dependent couples will soon receive $1000 and single residents will receive $500. This will only be applied and received by those residents who weren’t dependent and who filed the tax return.
Mexicans will receive their 2021 tax returns by direct deposit in their bank accounts. For those residents who filed their rebates and changed their bank accounts will still receive tax return by mail.
The tax rebate checks was signed by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham that will give thousands of Mexicans their tax return. Money will soon flourished in New Mexico. This will be distributed in June.
According to the KOAT News, this is all part of the House Bill 547, the tax omnibus bill, which also includes new incentives for the film industry.
Residents who failed to file the tax return will still have a chance to file up to May 31, 2024.
Those who filed first will first be distributed and will be followed by the 2nd batch of residents who filed the tax rebate checks.
There were more than 14,000 Mexicans who received their tax rebate checks last year 2022.
According to Taxation and Revenue Department of Mexico, those who didn’t receive their checks must confirm their current address to be served directly to them when distribution happens.
The deadline for this issue will be on June 23.
