A Seattle man was arrested for killing a pregnant woman by shooting her.
Shooting incident
On June 13, 2023, at 11:00 am, police immediately responded to a call from several people saying they heard gunshots on 4th Avenue, Leonora Street. As officers arrived at the scene, they found two people severely injured. One female and one male, the female, was then identified as Eina Kwon, 34, and is 32 weeks pregnant. The two adults were rushed to Harborview Medical Center. Kwon was pronounced dead, as well as her child — who briefly survived but died afterward, and a 37-year-old man survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
The police responded to the scene and detained a man, Cordell Goosby. The suspect then allegedly told the police he did it. According to True Crime Daily’s article, Kwon was a random target. She suffered from four (4) gunshot wounds. The couple were off to work before the shooting incident occurred. In KOMO, reports say that the suspect refused to go to a hearing in court on Wednesday and another on Thursday.
