Investigators are Up for Finding the Suspect

We had a silver SUV, and it came down to looking at some images online to see exactly what make and model it was, and they were able to pinpoint that it was a Jeep Cherokee, according to Sgt. Michele Pihera, speaking to FOX 5 Atlanta. “Once we got the surveillance video of nearby businesses, that helped us pinpoint the basic general description. We were able to locate perhaps some registration information to determine the owners of a silver Jeep Cherokee because it was a 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

Detectives found the car on Sunday night in Auburn while visiting Moore’s residence there, and they seized it. He wasn’t at home for the visit, but Monday morning he handed himself in at the Gwinnett County Jail.

According to Pihera on “Fox & Friends,” the shooting’s motivation is still unknown, and police are still looking into whether it was targeted, the consequence of an altercation on the road, or had another motivation.

The investigator was merely traveling down the road when the shooter fired at him, according to Pihera, and it currently doesn’t appear that he was connected to any police-related investigation. The DA’s office investigators use unmarked cars, so there were no overt indications that he was a law enforcement officer.
