Thousands of eligible American families in Missouri started to receive their 2022 Food Stamps summer benefits that were supposed to be released last year.
2022 Food Stamps Summer Benefits
Most American families in the country rely on Food Stamps or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits during the wake of the pandemic. This has helped them to meet their daily needs and buy nutritious foods for their families.
In a published article in The Washington Examiner, eligible residents in Missouri have already started to receive their Food Stamps Summer Benefits. They were supposed to receive it last year but due to some reason, they missed to have the one-time payment.
Moreover, these families received an amount of $391 per eligible child. These Food Stamps were supposed to cover food for children during the summer that normally receive free or discounted meals in school. This year, an amount of $120 per eligible child will be given.

How Many Students Received the 2022 Food Stamps Summer Benefits?
According to a published article in News Tribune,172,000 students had already received the 20222 Food Stamps Summer Benefits. It is projected that there will be more than 170,000 who will receive the Food Stamps in the upcoming days.
A spokesperson for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education said that the Food Stamps will be deposited in Debit Cards but those who do not have them will receive their debit cards on July 17.
