Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that the Small Business Administration’s Disaster Loan Assistance has been approved for some Texans.
Disaster Loan Assistance in Texas
Gov. Greg Abbott announced recently that the Disaster Loan Assistance for homes and businesses affected by May flooding amid the storm has already been approved. The Small Business Administration will head the assessment and implementation of the assistance.
In a published article in CBS 19, the Disaster Loan Assistance was intended to help homes and businesses in the following counties to recover:
- Nacogdoches
- Angelina
- Cherokee
- Rusk
- San Augustine
- Shelby
Meanwhile, Gov. Abbott thanked the Texas Division of Emergency Management for working with the Texas Small Business Administration to determine the eligibility of the 6 counties.

Gov. Greg Abbott’s Statement Over the Disaster Loan Assistance
According to a published article in Hello Woodlands, Gov. Greg Abbott said, “The state of Texas continues working with state, local, and federal partners as we ensure homeowners and businesses affected by these severe storms receive the assistance they need to recover.”
The state Governor also added that with this approval, the SBA’s Physical Disaster Loan program and its ts Economic Injury Disaster Loan program will be available for homes and businesses impacted by the May 10 storms.
