Thousands of Americans in Los Angeles County received an amount of $1,000 in direct payments and expansion of the “BREATHE” program will begin days from now.
$1,000 in Direct Payments
Low-income household families in the country are in need of financial assistance amidst the increasing prices and inflation rate. Different levels of government are trying their best to ensure that they can help American families meet their daily needs.
In a published article in The Washington Examiner, Los Angeles County issued an amount of $1,000 in direct payments to $1,000 participants last Thursday, June 15, 2023, to $1,000 participants. This is a monthly payment that will end until August 2025.
The aim of the “BREATHE” program is to make sure that recipients feel that they are financially secure every month and they can buy their basic commodities.

Expansion of $1,000 in Direct Payments
According to a published article in The Gazette, Los Angeles County will expand the program to reach more participants and help more low-income residents. It plans to add 200 more recipients and all of them should be former foster children.
The application will start on June 20 and will end on July 3. The first application of the first batch of the program started last March 31, 2022 and closed on April 13, 2022.
