Law enforcement agencies in Tennessee are currently engaged in a high-stakes search for two inmates who managed to escape from the Henry County Jail.

Tennessee Inmates Escaped Jail

According to CBS News, Ronnie Sharp, 48, and Joshua Harris, 40, fled the facility, prompting a joint effort by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

According to officials, the inmates orchestrated a daring escape by prying through the cell ceiling and opening a skylight on the roof. They then allegedly stole a white Chevy 3500 truck with a black dump bed from a nearby location.

Harris, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds, had been serving time for violating a sentence and had a history of evading arrest, theft, and burglary. Sharp, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds, faced multiple pending charges, including kidnapping, aggravated assault, assault on an officer, evading arrest, theft of property, and burglary.
